Papaver nudicaule. Icelandic Poppies.
3 x peat free plug plants. Please note that the poppy plant foliage may appear small on arrival, but the root system is well developed, which is typical for poppies grown as plugs. Once planted, they establish quickly and will put on rapid new growth
Hardy annual best planted in sun or dappled shade. Plant approx 20cm apart. 7 day vase life if cut when in 'cracked bud'. Flowers Spring - Summer.
Colours will vary - think peaches, apricots, whites, yellows, oranges and a splash of red.

When your plants arrive
Open the box as soon as it arrives to allow the plants some fresh air. Remove them from their packaging and give the plugs a good drink. The easiest way to do this is to dunk them in a bucket of water and lift them out once the bubbles stop rising.
You can either pot them on into a larger pot to grow on—useful if you have problems with slugs or snails—or plant them out directly in the garden.
All our plants are grown outdoors and hardened off, so they’re ready to plant. However, you may still need to protect young plants from frost.
