Buying flowers from us

Our flowers are truly seasonal, meaning we can only pick what is currently in flower on the farm at the time of an order being placed. Photographs are illustrative only as each arrangement is completely unique. We cannot promise specific varieties, numbers of stems or colours but we will always do our best to work towards requests. We reserve the right to substitute any flowers and to use flowers from local growers in exceptional circumstances. This applies to all flowers sold either as wedding/ event/ seasonal bouquets/ sympathy and diy buckets, for any event. Our flowers are properly conditioned prior to going out however it is the responsibility of the receiver to follow our flower care guidelines to get the best vase life. Once handed over, we cannot be held responsible for the quality of our flowers. For events, we cannot be held responsible for the vase life and condition of flowers following our installation.

Payment options include buying direct through our website shop hosted by Wix, direct bank payment or cash on collection/delivery.

Ordering, Delivery & Collection

You can order our flowers by emailing us directly, purchasing on our online store or contacting us via social media platforms. Please do not send your personal details via social media platforms.

Payment options include buying directly through our website hosted by Wix, direct bank payment or cash on delivery/ collection.

Flowers are delivered across GU22 and KT17/19. We calculate delivery price based on the postcode you provide us with.

We will always do our best to work towards an agreed delivery date and time, however we can only attempt to deliver once.

If you or the recipient for a delivery is not at home, the flowers will need to be left in a safe place (at your own risk) specified on the original order, or with a neighbour for safekeeping where possible. Instructions for your preferred safe-keeping will need to be given when placing your order. If no safe-place information is provided we will leave flowers by the front door, take a photograph and contact you to advise delivery was made. If you know in advance you won't be in at the time of delivery we ask you leave a clean bucket of water outside for us to place the flowers in as we cannot provide one. Once we deliver flowers we cannot be held responsible for the quality or longevity of them.

Collection is available strictly by appointment only, either in KT17 or at the flower farm in GU22, however we will not be held responsible for any damages or losses, either to you personally, or to your vehicles as a result of you collecting.

Photography & Marketing

We reserve the right to take photographs of your arrangements and in event settings which may be used for marketing on our website and social media pages.

Longevity of flowers

Unlike the majority of imported flowers, we do not use any chemicals, hormones or synthetic plant food to extend vase life. We are unable to provide the length of time our flowers will last in a vase at home as each plant is different. You should place your flowers in fresh cool water immediately upon delivery. To get the best vase life from our flowers, keep away from fruit bowl and heat sources. Change the water daily and re-trim the stems.

DIY Wedding flowers

Flowers for weddings are only secured once a non-refundable deposit of £50 has been paid. The deposit is deemed against the total cost of your wedding flowers in our final invoice. You must finalise your order at least 10 weeks before the date of your wedding. Final payment is due in full at least 8 weeks before your wedding date. No refund will be given for any cancellation either in full or in part for your order after the final payment has been made. If payment is not received in full in advance of the wedding date, the order will not be fulfilled. Cancellation of our services must be notified as soon as reasonably possible. Any deposit paid will be retained regardless of the circumstances of the cancellation. DIY wedding buckets will be delivered at a charge based on postcode provided, or you may collect from us by appointment only. Please ensure you have very, very clean buckets with clean fresh water in so that we can transfer our flowers over. Once you receive our flowers we cannot be held responsible for longevity and quality. Please read our guidelines to get the best from our flowers. All our T&C's as outlined here apply.

Workshops

Bookings are made on a first come, first served basis. Please note that your place is not confirmed until full payment has been received. Amendments to bookings (cancellations) may be made up to 14 days proper to the date of the workshop. If you find you are unable to attend a class you are welcome to send someone else in your place. If through unavoidable circumstances we have to cancel a workshop, all payments will be refunded in full or if you wish, transferred to another course. We will not refund any other costs you may have incurred in advance. We shall be under no liability whatsoever, for any loss, injury or damage to workshop attendees or their property whether in respect of any neglect, or the act of omission by us.

All flower displays are for ornamental purposes ONLY. For the purpose of safety, all flowers should be considered toxic and potentially harmful if consumed and appropriate medical attention should be sought in this event. Products you purchase from us may contain flowers, foliage and seeds that may be harmful, poisonous or toxic to both humans and animals.  You are strong advised to wear gloves when handling our products i.e. arranging. Once our product is handed over to you, it is your responsibility to use it safely and we cannot be held liable for any injuries/damages that may occur through handling of our products. You are encouraged to research which plants are harmful before having these in your home. You are very welcome to inform us of any plants that you do not wish to be included in arrangements due to allergens/ concerns with toxicity to humans and/or pets.

Exceptional & Unforeseen Circumstances

Whilst we agree to use our reasonable endeavours to ensure that Hook Heath Flowers/ Flower Farm is fully operational and error free we cannot always guarantee this. There are certain situations or events which may occur which are not within our reasonable control. Examples include but are not limited to: ill health, adverse weather conditions, acts of God, road traffic accidents or severe traffic delays. Ultimately we cannot accept responsibility for events outside of our control and if we are prevented from providing our services or products as aged then we will offer a refund of any monies paid. In the event of any dispute, the value of any compensation or refund will not exceed the value of the goods ordered.

Seed shop

100% of our seeds are open pollinated, either by insects or wind. Whilst the majority of our seeds will come true (resembling the parent plant), cross pollination does occur (when one plant pollinates with another variety). In this case, the two plants' genetic material combines and creates seeds that will have traits of both varieties, producing a brand new variety. This can be extremely exciting, however if you want seeds that will only produce a plant that is true to type, you may wish to order from another supplier.

Our seeds are all currently picked, cleaned and packaged by hand and so are available in small quantities. Unfortunately we are not yet able to provide an approximate seed count, however we do our best to ensure each packet has enough seeds for a hobbiest gardener, or budding flower farmer!

We believe our seeds are free from disease and are correctly identified, however there is no warranty, expressed or implied as to the quality of the seed supplied, and we cannot accept any liability in any way from the resulting crops.
